One 60-day voyage around Australia was terminated days after the death of an elderly woman who was abandoned by the cruise liner on a distant coastal location.

The elderly woman had been walking on the tropical location with fellow passengers from the Coral Adventurer, but broke off from the party for a pause. The liner left without her and returned after some time after the ship staff discovered the lady was unaccounted for.

An extensive rescue mission located her person the following day.

Authorities are investigating the event, together with investigators and the official investigator.

Head of the cruise operator said that passengers and crew on the vessel were notified that the continuation of the cruise had been terminated due to the "tragic passing and previous mechanical issues".
