'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane dampens on Premier League homecoming

Kane achieves his 100th goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has revealed that his desire in going back to the Premier League has diminished and he is willing to explore a new agreement with Bayern Munich.

The accomplished striker is currently two years through the four-year deal he agreed to when transferring to from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the summer of 2023.

The experienced forward has scored an impressive 103 goals in 106 matches for the German team, helping them claim the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which represented the first significant honor of his illustrious career.

Tottenham boss Thomas Frank has recently expressed that he would welcome to see Kane come back to England, where he lacks 48 goals to surpass Alan Shearer's record Premier League scoring milestone of 260.

However, the England leader has now indicated that he is no longer as eager about going back home as he earlier was, and would definitely contemplate extending his stay in Bavaria.

"In terms of remaining longer, I could definitely see that," he stated.

"I discussed openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those conversations with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be willing to talk and have an honest conversation.

"Obviously it hinges on how the next year or so goes and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not focusing about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had questioned me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have realized in my career is that different options and different timings happen and things fall in place. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am completely all in with Bayern."

Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the all-time top marksman for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the speediest player this century to reach 100 goals for a club competing in one of Europe's top five competitions, attaining the landmark in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a honor had escaped him until he lifted the German title last season.

Kane admits that he was not sure how he would respond after breaking his trophy wait, but now feels it has made him hungry for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be easy to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he continued.

"But it's given me more motivation to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.

"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I pushed myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."

Future Prospects

  • Continued success with Bayern Munich is Kane's main focus
  • The possibility of a Premier League return has noticeably decreased
  • New contract talks could begin in the upcoming future
  • Kane's remarkable goal-scoring record continues to impress
